How to add a fringe to a scarf

So, I am knitting a scarf for a friend with their choice of yarn. It is a very multi-coloured yarn called Gingerbread Kisses by Arcane Fibre Works here in Canada. It is beautiful, but because of the colours, doesn’t go well with a complex pattern. I opted to create the scarf in a brioche pattern or fisherman’s rib. To augment the design, I’m looking into adding a fringe.

Turns out it is incredibly simple to add.
